The high voltage performance by music sensation Atif Aslam at Lok Virsa here on Wednesday night thrilled the audience with a two-hour long non-stop pulsating feat.
The crescendo that rose as his name was announced showed that the audience consider him the king of rock in the country. The spontaneous and warm response showed his immense popularity from the moment he stepped onto the stage.
A joint collaboration between Lok Virsa and Dolphins Communications, the rock concert enlivened the rain drenched summer night. After a little warm up session from a Lahore based singer Wazir Bobi and his band, Atif started with a big bang, singing all his chartbusting numbers including ‘Tere Bin’, ‘Bheegi Bheegi Yadain’, ‘Pehli Nazar’, ‘Doori’, ‘Mahi Ve’, ‘Aadat’, and ‘Tum se hee’, with each number drawing louder cheers and thunderous applause from the audience.
Atif is known for his energetic interaction with the audience to make the show enjoyable through his performance and singing in order to make his concerts an unforgettable experience while successfully connecting to the heart and soul of the audience with hot and peppy numbers imbibed with youthfulness.
The organisers were immensely satisfied with the response and also for the fact that no untoward incidence took place, as is the case in many such rock concerts involving large audience comprising energetic youth. It is extremely difficult to stir up the crowd and keep control at the same time, but Atif Aslam’s concert crowd was fixated by the performance till the last beat.
