Pakistani celebrities love Atif – and make no secret of it!
Atif Aslam is probably one of Pakistan's biggest stars at the moment. And while his concerts may be filled with screaming fans - there are plenty of Pakistani celebrities who think he's quite great too. Nirma was spotted saying “I loove Atif Aslam!” during Atif's performance on the televised Lux Style Awards 2008. And its not just Lollywood. One spotted Arif and Ayesha Mehmood and Rizwan Beyg at Roadside café last week - and shortly after they were seated the stereos began blasting Atif Aslam's Doorie album.
When the waiters were asked why they'd changed the music from their regular dose of Abida Parveen and Zeb and Haniya, they pointed towards the table with Ayesha, Arif and Rizwan and said - “sorry, they requested it!” And one couldn't expect any less - Rizwan Beyg insisted on playing 'Dilbar' as his collection hit the ramp at the last Ensemble show - much to the delight of many - so we bet he has an ear for popular music!
